Southwest Airlines says its computer systems are expected to work normally Monday that led to 836 delayed flights.

“Teams worked throughout the night in advance of our first departures to ensure the smoothest operation of our originating and later flights,” the airline said Monday in a statement.

The airline says it has “some additional work to do to get bags delivered and some delayed or displaced customers into open seats.”

Those traveling on Sunday or Monday are being offered “flexibility,” according to the statement.

The computer issues caused long lines Sunday at Denver International Airport where employees were manually writing some tickets.

Southwest has not said what caused the computer malfunction. A spokesman said there was “absolutely no indication now” that the problems were the result of hacking.

Last month, American Airlines experienced computer problems that prevented passengers from checking in and briefly halted flights on select routes. Airline officials said there was no indication that its system had been hacked.
