A pedestrian was hit by a semi truck in northeast Denver during the Wednesday afternoon rush hour.
The incident happened at the intersection of East 40th Avenue and York Street, according to a 5:24 p.m. Denver Police Department Twitter post.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Southbound lanes of York Street were temporarily closed by the incident.
Police did not immediately say whether or not the driver was cited.
