Commercial air service returns to Sheridan, Wyo., on Nov. 19, when Key Lime Air begins daily nonstop service to Denver International Airport.
, citing a national pilot shortage. This left the tourism-dependent, north-central Wyoming town without regular service.
A group of Sheridan community members called CAST — which stands for Critical Air Service Team — lobbied for the service. In July, CAST members told the Casper Star-Tribune . The money, they said, would be used to ensure the Denver-based airline a minimum amount of revenue.
“We anticipate Denver Air Connection’s service will provide tremendous economic value for Sheridan and the surrounding region,” CAST community representative Bruce Garber said in a news release.
There will be two flights in each direction daily on a 30-seat Dornier 328 jet.
