Walking distance from bistros in Littleton’s historic downtown, a low-maintenance all-ranch enclave that’s much closer to city

While couples scour the edges of the metro area for builders offering larger ranch-type floor plans, Taylor Morrison can show you an enclave of new ranches today that’s only 11 miles from downtown Denver, seven miles from the heart of the Tech Center. The site is so far inside the city that the ten buyers who’ve bought luxury ranches here since its opening earlier this year are virtually all from Littleton, Columbine Valley and Bow Mar – who’ve found it by driving past.

Willowcroft Manor by Taylor Morrison Homes is so close to Littleton’s historic downtown that those residents routinely walk into town for drinks or dinner at choice dining spots like Café Terracotta, Jaja Bistro and the Melting Pot – 15 minutes via trails that have a pedestrian tunnel under S. Santa Fe Drive Fe Drive, from their insular neighborhood near Columbine Country Club.

Better yet, Taylor Morrison has three ranch homes you can tour there that are ready for move-in this month: including a 3-bedroom Orchid plan at 20 Willowcroft Drive has 3-1/2 bath, plus a study, a tandem 3-car garage, a master retreat with private access to a covered patio, and finished basement space with a bar, wine cooler and guest suite. It’s sized at 2,182 square feet, plus over 1,000 square feet finished below, and is priced at $699,818.

The buyer of that home will have something else included that’s a rarity even among the small numbers of new ranch neighborhoods you can find now: a maintenance package. For $185 a month, Willowcroft Manor residents get front yard landscape maintenance, plus snow removal and trash pickup. Community regulations allow residents to drive golf carts on the neighborhood’s winding lanes, if they want – on the way to the country club, or nearby Littleton Golf & Tennis Club.

Taylor Morrison’s Willowcroft Manor is walking distance from Downtown Littleton, but actually lies in the town of Columbine Valley – with its own police force serving the golf hamlets along S. Platte Canyon Road. Most buyers, says Taylor Morrison’s Desiree James, look at this as an opportunity to downsize from a larger home they’ve owned for decades. But others see the sheltered setting as a place to customize; to pick a lot and use Taylor Morrison’s extensive list of standard features — 10-foot ceilings, six-panel doors, and kitchens with 42-inch maple flat-panel cabinets, big slab granite islands, and double ovens — as a jumping-off point for a semi-custom ranch.

You’ll see another ranch ready-to-go generously sized at over 2,800 square feet, with full-wide 3-car garage, at $744,958. All of these completed homes already show their designer front landscaping in place – a reminder of the low-maintenance package that’s included.

“These are prices designed to clear our 2015 inventory homes before the holidays,” says James. Willowcroft is just south of Bowles, east of Platte Canyon Drive. To reach the model, take S. Santa Fe to Bowles (at downtown Littleton) and turn west, just under a mile to Middlefield, then turn left to Aljor.
