The best offense in football may reside in the McCaffrey household.

All four sons of former Bronco great and three-time Super Bowl champion receiver Ed McCaffrey have carried on the family football tradition. On Thursday, two of them took the local and national spotlight with their play.

Dylan McCaffrey, a junior quarterback at Valor Christian High, , completing 17 of 29 pass attempts for 274 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also produced 34 yards on 11 carries with a rushing touchdown.

Christian McCaffrey, a sophomore running back at Ed’s alma mater, Stanford, took the college football world by storm when he rushed for a school-record 243 yards and four touchdowns . His 369 all-purpose yards were 10 shy of Stanford’s record, set by Glyn Milburn.

The Cardinal’s previous single-game rushing record was set by Toby Gerhart, who put up 223 against Oregon in 2009.

The performance put Christian, the , firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation, as he closed the gap on Louisiana State running back Leonard Fournette: Christian now has 1,016 all-purpose yards on the season. Fournette has 1,063.
