LOS ANGELES — The Avalanche announced the results of fan voting for its 20th anniversary team Saturday, and 19 of the 20 names were the same as those Mike Chambers and I selected for the opening-day preview section.
Mike and I made our choices individually, and I believe we initially had 15 of the 20 the same and then did some horsetrading. We agreed to stand behind the ultimate choices as collaborative.
(The Avalanche didn’t rank the picks.)
The only differences were:
— The Avalanche/fan vote team included defenseman Erik Johnson. The Post team did not.
— The Post team included center Ryan O’Reilly. The Avalanche/fan vote did not.
