The Colorado Department of Transportation will host the Colorado Transportation Matters Summit on Oct. 28, which will include a talk by U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx.
The summit will be a half-day event at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Denver.
CDOT said the summit will focus on how to create a more nimble road and highway system through the 21st century.
CDOT also plans to announce the launch of a multi-phased, multimillion-dollar program aimed on how Colorado can become a leader in innovative transportation technologies while having the safest and most reliable road system in the country.
Last year’s first Transportation Matters Summit attracted nearly 500 policymakers, business and community leaders.
The key note luncheon will feature Foxx, Gov. John Hickenlooper, Shailen Bhatt, executive director of CDOT, U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and a representative from National Renewable Energy Labs.
