Family Fun: Spooky shadows pop up in Arvada via Silhouettes

Friday-Sunday. There is perhaps no better time of year to see a show from The Silhouettes, the troupe that uses light, shadow and dance to create delicate and striking profiles from its home base at Arvada’s ShadowLight Theatre. The group, famous for finishing as a runner-up on “America’s Got Talent,” is applying its illusion-based talents to a new, Halloween-themed show, which the company says is appropriate for ages 5 and up. The narrative-driven “Shadowspook” — based, naturally, around a shadow named Spook — runs at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, with a 1 p.m. matinee on Oct. 25. Tickets are on sale for $28 and are available by calling 303-420-3097 or visiting . 5525 W. 56th Ave. in Arvada.
