Mystery Exhibit The nature, science of Sherlock Holmes

Opens Friday. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s 128-year-0ld Sherlock Holmes character is the gold standard for classic detectives, and a precursor to every “C.S.I”-style TV show and mystery novel out there. As such, he’s also a sharp lens through which to test your powers of observation, as the traveling “International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes” hopes to illustrate. The exhibit, which opens Oct. 23 at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, features detailed stage sets, Victorian-style tableaus and interactive “evidence stations” where visitors can analyze crime scenes, experiment, interact with costumed characters and even check out props from recent TV and film adaptations. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily at 2001 Colorado Blvd. $17.95-$23.95. 303-370-6000 or .
