Discover a ranch enclave that maintains your landscape, beside Erie’s Colorado National Golf Club, homes ready before holidays

You could have driven all over Boulder and Broomfield Counties looking for ranch plans, and never noticed what Century Communities has waiting today beside Colorado National Golf Club at Vista Ridge, just north of Highway 7 west of I-25. You can tour two spacious models there – one a ranch, the other a main-floor master. Better yet, at a time when there’s virtually no ranch-type inventory in this very attractive area, you can find some ready for move-in by the holidays.

“Inventory of homes both new and old is very low here,” says Jim Juhasz with Century Communities, who watches the market in surrounding areas of Broomfield and Erie, west into Boulder County. He’ll have a Chipotle taco bar out today in those models, noon until 1, and will show you homes that can be ready before Thanksgiving – at prices well below what ranches are going for at age-restricted communities nearby.

Vista Ridge and Colorado National Golf Club are located just across the county line in Erie, with lower taxes that residents appreciate. Meanwhile, Century Communities residents get something hard to find in any ranch-oriented neighborhood, whether age-restricted or not: full landscape maintenance provided in both front and backyards, along with snow removal and trash pickup.

That’s all included in a combined HOA dues that also covers Vista Ridge’s two pools, fitness center, trails, parks and other amenities. Although Vista Ridge has no age restriction, most buyers have been down-sizing from homes they’ve owned for decades. But Century Communities’ floor plans and favorable prices are also drawing a few buyers with kids, who like the look of these as family homes.

In a market with too few listings, your older home can sell well before a new one is ready; but Century Communities is pushing hard to deliver those now. Those include a roomy ranch with designer kitchen, full basement and 2-car garage, on a 6,296-foot site, $499,950. “It’s a terrible hassle to sell and then have to move twice,” Juhasz adds.

If you’re worried whether your home will sell, Juhasz has a remedy: You can contract on any patio ranch or a main-floor master that’ll be ready soon, contingent on the sale of your older home. “Our goal at Century Communities is to make the process of listing, selling and purchasing a new home as easy as possible,” he says.

Century Communities has another great reason to look now. Close on any of those homes by Dec. 31, 2015, and you’ll get a one-year golf membership at the club – rated best course on the Front Range last year by Avid Golfer’s staff. That’s not counting the tennis, clubhouse grill and the other club amenities that are already included.

Juhasz will show you good things headed to this area along Highway 7 – a University of Colorado Health campus arriving, a site for a King Soopers, and shopping and dining at Orchard Town Center. To reach from Denver, take I-25 north from 120th seven miles, just past E470 to Highway 7, then head west two miles to Vista Ridge’s entry at Mountain View, and turn north a half mile to Skyline. Or from Boulder, take Baseline east 13 miles to Skyline.
