Colorado 82 in Pitkin County has been closed over Independence Pass because of heavy snow and traffic tie ups.
According to a Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office alert, several vehicles are stuck in the snow.
Eastbound traffic will be turned around at mile post 45 until further notice, the alert says.
