Saturday: In honor of those who have served our country, the PACE Center in Parker will celebrate the upcoming Veterans Day holiday with a patriotic-themed concert. The Parker Symphony Orchestra and the Colorado Mormon Chorale will perform a number of traditional pieces ranging from “The Star Spangled Banner” to Jay Ungar’s “Ashokan Farewell” to “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” The concert’s main piece, “The American Flag,” is a 20-minute composition rarely performed in the U.S., says PSO conductor René Knetsch. Fittingly, the performance will conclude with “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” the official national march. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the 90-minute concert are $25 and can be purchased by calling 303-805-6800.
