A stretch of highway between C-470 and Morrison will be closed for about an hour Friday for emergency rockfall mitigation, officials said.
The situation requires closing Colorado Highway 8 west of C-470 to Market Street in Morrison starting at 5 p.m. Friday, according to a CDOT news release.
The rock hazard is the size of a small vehicle, the release said, and is likely caused by wet weather and fluctuation temperatures.
