Adams County officials will process an item found after a school was evacuated due to a bomb threat.
Authorities responded to Ricardo Flores Magon Academy, a K-8 school, at 5301 Lowell Boulevard after hearing about a bomb threat, said Jim Morgen, Adams County Sheriff Office spokesman.
Officers were responding to a report of a suspicious item left at the school, according to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The sheriff’s office recovered an item that is being processed for potential evidence.
To be safe, the school was evacuated, and parents were notified to pick up their children.
