A 16-year-old boy died after losing control of the truck he was driving on icy roads near Kremmling, police said Wednesday.
Police responded to the crash around 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday on U.S. 40 near mile marker 160, about 25 miles west of Kremmling, according to a Colorado State Patrol news release.
The teen was driving a white Ford pickup truck west on U.S. 40 when he lost control, skidded off the left side of the highway and down an embankment, the release said.
The truck rolled multiple times and came to rest facing north. The state patrol said the teen suffered fatal injuries.
The teen was wearing his seat belt.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been a contributing factor to the crash.
