Kendrick Lamar and Terry Crews in the video for “These Walls.”
is right on time with this visual for “These Walls,” one of the more esoteric tracks on “To Pimp a Butterfly.”
The video, dubbed a “Black Comedy,” features Terry Crews and a dancing Lamar as they rage a house party that leaves them with more than they bargained for. The track already has a pretty vivid sexual undertone and Kendrick is seen getting a major “wallie” (that’s slang for when a woman hard-core ass-dances a guy against a wall) as the scene opens.

The storyline is more than neon lights and beats, though. Kendrick continues describing the police harassment he experienced growing up in Compton with the video’s main character. Don’t miss the epic dance break between Lamar and Crews as they with big grins.
While “These Walls” is the track, the video, titled “Behind the Walls,” contains a prelude to the song’s story, which is left unfinished here.
Colin Tilley directs and Anna Wise, Bilal and Thundercat feature.
