A nude man allegedly fought a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputy, leaving both with minor injuries, officials said.
An officer responded to a report of a criminal trespass in progress in the 6200 block of North County Road 17 in unincorporated Larimer County, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office news release. Officers were told there was a vehicle stuck in a field about 800 feet west of the roadway with a naked man standing near the automobile.
The nude man, 18-year-old Keenan Barrow Hunt of Fort Collins, allegedly became combative and fought the deputy, the release said.
Hunt is suspected of trying to remove the deputy’s gun from his holster during the fight, the sheriff’s office said.
Two citizens helped the deputy get Hunt under control and take him into custody.
The deputy was taken to a local hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
Hunt was treated for minor injuries at the scene and then booked into the Larimer County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass, criminal attempt of disarming a peace officer, criminal mischief, DUI and resisting arrest, the sheriff’s office said.
Bond has not yet been set for Hunt.
