Thornton police announced they’re investigating a murder Sunday afternoon after an altercation involving five people at an apartment complex escalated to gunfire.
Police responded around 4:45 p.m.to reports of shots fired at Madison Park Apartments and found a man suffering from wounds. He was pronounced dead at a hospital, police spokesman Matt Barnes said.
The police detained a woman and three men. Police were trying to sort out their relationships with the victim. They declined to name the dead man pending positive identification by the Adams County Coroner and notification of relatives.
