Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. (Josh Reynolds, Associated Press file)
Re: “GOP suspends partnership with NBC News for February debate,” Oct. 31 news story.
It appears Republican candidates reflect the same mentality of the minority Republican misfits in Congress. If they do not find things to their liking, they want to take their marbles and go home. The Republican Party is in shambles. Most of this blame should be placed on Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, not the media.
I hope that, before the next debate, they all can get their acts together and each candidate is ready to give their stance on immigration and to be ready to defend their tax reform plans against others on the stage. Moderators should be ready to challenge untruths and should allow equal time for each candidate.

This letter was published in the Nov. 3 edition. After Republican group grilling of Hillary Clinton for 11 hours in committee last month, the Republican presidential candidates had the nerve to whine about hard questions from moderators during their two-hour debate last week. They aren’t going to be able to blame the media when they fail in negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin if any of them stumble into the presidency.
