The Broncos on Tuesday announced they signed safety Ryan Murphy to their practice and released defensive tackle Deandre Coleman to clear a roster spot.
WATCH:
Murphy, a rookie out of Oregon State, was a seventh-round pick (No. 248) in the draft by the Seahawks but was waived Sept. 5 when Seattle pared its training camp roster to the final 53.
The 6-foot-3, 214-pound Murphy played four seasons at Oregon State, totaling 235 tackles (139 solo), 1.5 sacks and seven interceptions. He also averged 22.7 yards on 13 returns last season, including a 97-yard touchdown return against Southern California.
Coleman, 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, was in September after spending most of the 2014 season with the Dolphins.
