A 100-acre wildfire is burning on the Eastern Plains near U.S. 36 and County Road 54.
The fire, near Deer Trail, was reported around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, said Adams County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Morgen.
“It came in as a weed fire,” he said.
One small out building has been damaged, he said. Firefighters from Bennett, Strasburg and Byers, are battling the blaze.
