Friday-Sunday. Carl Czerny (1791-1857) is the last Romantic composer you would expect to have a renaissance. He’s known, although not exactly loved, for writing the difficult finger exercises that piano teachers still use today to train (torture?) students. Lately, though, his serious work has been rediscovered via live performances and surprisingly interesting recordings. The St. Martin’s Chamber Choir is on board, staging Czerny’s long-lost four-hand piano version of Mozart’s “Requiem.” Joining are pianists Mutsumi Moteki and Tamara Goldstein. 7:30 p.m. Friday Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia St.; 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth Blvd., Wheat Ridge; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Saint Paul Lutheran and Roman Catholic Community of Faith, 1600 Grant St. 303-298-1970 or .
