
1 Assault at jail. On Oct. 23, an argument between two inmates led to an assault at the Denver County Jail, 10500 E. Smith Road. The victim told police that he shared a housing pod with the suspect and the two had been involved in an argument where the suspect threatened to cut the victim. The victim then went to close the cell door to “get it over with” and was pushed by the suspect.
2 Suspect threatens man’s dog, spits in man’s face. A man was arrested by Denver police on Oct. 24 after he followed another man and threatened his dog in the 1100 block of Bannock Street. The victim told police he was walking his dog when he noticed a man following him. The suspect then approached, threatened to kill his dog and then spit in his face. The man ran to a nearby location to call for help.
3 Fight at Club Vinyl. On Oct. 25, a man was arrested after assaulting someone outside of Club Vinyl, 1082 Broadway. The victim called police while chasing the suspect after the assault. The victim said his property was stolen during the fight.
4 Man slapped. Police responded to an assault on Oct. 25 at Da Lat restaurant, 940 S. Federal Blvd. The victim said he was playing music for an event when two suspects entered and began to assault him. One of the suspects slapped him.
5 Woman robbed at gunpoint. On Oct. 21, a woman called police after she was robbed in the 4900 block of West Colorado Avenue. The woman was approached by two men who tried to grab her bag. One of them hit her with a handgun and fled with the purse.
