Opens Saturday. Economic struggle is practically built into Colorado’s identity, given the boom and bust cycles that started when gold was first discovered at the confluence of Cherry Creek and the Platte River. But the persistent problem of homelessness often gets short shrift, which is why History Colorado’s new exhibit, “Searching for Home: Homelessness in Colorado History,” explores the subject in practical, immediate terms (visitors can learn the challenges of preparing a healthy meal with limited money and resources) as well as telling the stories of Coloradans whose belongings aren’t typically found in museums. The exhibit opens Nov. 7 and is available to all visitors with regular admission. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. $8-$12 per person; children under 5 are free. 1200 Broadway. .
