
1 Suspect accuses man of being bad dad, pulls knife. A man reported Oct. 19 that he was with his son on the Clear Creek path near Golden city offices, 911 10th St., when two men accused him of being a bad father after witnessing his son fall from a deer statue. Words were exchanged and the suspect pulled out a pocket knife, then left when the victim began taking video on his cellphone.
2 Moss rock thief. A resident of the 3000 block ofEl Pinal Drive, Evergreen, reported that on Oct. 14, she found someone stealing moss-covered rock from her property. The person left when confronted. The resident said she reported it in case of instances of similar theft in the area.
3 Rock smasher. A man went to Jeffco Sheriff’s mountain substation, 4990 Jefferson County 73, Evergreen on Oct. 18 to report that while he was in a Conifer-area restaurant, his truck’s windshield was damaged in the parking lot. It appeared someone used a rock to smash it. The one suspected contacted provided an alibi.
4 Redneck flag disappears. A resident of the 5000 block of Jefferson County 73, Evergreen, reported Oct. 20 that a 5-by-5-foot rebel flag with the word “Redneck” on it was missing from where it was hanging on his porch. He said the flag draws a lot of attention but he had no suspects.
5 Woman fears dog theft. A resident of the 20000 block of Colorado 74, Evergreen, reported Oct. 20 that someone was trying to break into her house to steal her dog. It was later revealed that the dog belonged to a friend, who was the person trying to enter the house to get the dog.
