Former Valor Christian star and Stanford sophomore running back Christian McCaffrey has been garnering national attention and Heisman Trophy talk with his big numbers for the Cardinal this season. Here’s a look at how he performed last week and where the national media is ranking him in the Heisman race.

How did Christian do last week?


McCaffrey ran wild on Colorado, totalling 147 rushing yards on 23 carries. He also caught three passes for 15 yards to help Stanford to a 42-10 win over the Buffaloes. Oh yeah, he threw a touchdown pass, too.

How are Christian’s numbers on the year?


McCaffrey has 198 carries for 1,207 rushing yards (ninth among FBS players) and six touchdowns. He also has 28 catches for 325 yards and two more TDs. His 2,174 all-purpose yards leads all players in Division I.
