The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man’s body was found dumped along westbound Interstate 76 between Fort Morgan and Brush on Saturday, officials said.
The exact cause and manner of death has yet to be determined, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The victim is described as a man in his 20s or 30s who is around five feet eight inches tall to five feet ten inches tall. The victim is between 160 pounds to 170 pounds, the release said, with brown eyes and black hair in a buzz cut. The victim has a small cross tattooed on one hand.
The sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the victim and any possible suspects.
Anyone traveling through that stretch of interstate around 4:30 a.m. to 4:45 a.m. who may have seen anything suspicious like vehicles stopping along the road is asked to contact Investigator Jon Holt at 970-867-2461.
