After downing upstart Mountain Vista on Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park to win the Class 5A boys soccer state championship, Broomfield kept a place in the USA Today/National Soccer Coaches Association Super 25 rankings.
The Eagles, who finished 18-2, jumped up front not being ranked to No. 18.
The No. 1 team in the poll is St. Ignatius of Cleveland, which was 22-0-1 entering the week.
No other Colorado team was included in the ranking.
Broomfield, under coach Jim Davidson, won its second consecutive 5A title. The Eagles, who are 31-6-3 over the past two seasons, beat the Golden Eagles 2-1.
