Getting your player ready...

Week 10 is in the books, and fantasy football is nearing its postseason. As the waiver wire thins out, just a few names stand out from Sunday’s games.

Danny Amendola, WR, New England Patriots

When Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman went down with a fractured foot Sunday, wide receiver Danny Amendola became quarterback Tom Brady’s favorite target. Amendola had 10 catches for 79 yards in that game. With Edelman expected to miss significant time because the injury, Amendola becomes a high-priority target for this week.

Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers

Eleven weeks into the season, and Packers wide receiver Davante Adams finally looks like the guy we thought he would be during the preseason. In Green Bay’s past two outings, Adams has been one of quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ top two targets and has led the team in receptions. With wide receiver James Jones becoming more irrelevant, Adams should play a larger role. He has yet to score a touchdown this season, however.

WATCH:

Matt Jones, RB, Washington

Did something click with Washington’s offense Sunday or is New Orleans just that bad? That’s the big question coming out of Washington’s 47-14 win over the Saints. Running backs Alfred Morris and Matt Jones had big days. Morris had 92 yards on 15 carries. It was his highest total since Week 1. Jones dominated the passing game with 131 yards receiving and a touchdown. The majority of those yards came on . The road will be much tougher when Washington travels to Carolina. Jones makes the waiver list because it’s late in the season and it’s hard to ignore that level of production, but owners may be chasing fantasy points.

Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Guess who’s back! Tony Romo’s back. Tell a friend. The Dallas Cowboys sit at 2-7 and are just three games behind the division-leading New York Giants. It’s crazy to think, but after losing seven straight the Cowboys aren’t out of the playoff picture just yet, and they’ll get a big boost as quarterback Romo appears poised to return in Week 11. Playing on a potent Dallas offense that can move the ball, the quarterback was the team’s missing piece. Romo is a top-tier quarterback and should be rostered immediately.

Deep Targets

Brock Osweiler, QB, Denver Broncos

A new age has dawned in Denver. It’s officially the Brock Osweiler era … well, for a week, at least. the Broncos announced Monday that they would sit quarterback Peyton Manning against the Chicago Bears and give backup quarterback Osweiler the start. If the Arizona State product can somehow win the starting job from an aged Manning, he’ll have instant appeal as a QB2. He remains in wait-and-see status for now.

WATCH:

Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington

Time to scrap the bottom of the bowl. There’s a decent chance that if you lost Edelman, you don’t have a high waiver priority to pick up Amendola. It’s tough to know what to make of Washington’s 47-14 romp over New Orleans on Sunday. Who knows? But wide receiver Jamison Crowder had the Redskins’ most receptions and targets. He also had the most yards among the team’s wide receivers. With Washington struggling to get production from oft-injured DeSean Jackson and an aged Pierre Garcon, Crowder could carve out a role.
