The winner of the 2015 Mercury Prize, the award presented to the author of the U.K.’s best album of the year, is singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine.
Clementine’s debut album, “At Least For Now,” netted him the award Jaime xx, Aphex Twin and others.
The award is famous for leaning towards new, lesser-known artists. In the Mercury Prize’s 24-year history, Clementine is the sixteenth artist to win with a debut album. Despite making four shortlists, Radiohead has never taken home the award.
