Friday-Dec. 23. For its 40th original sketch comedy revue, the improv minds at downtown’s Bovine Metropolis Theater decided to embrace the things that normally make us crazy during the holidays: breathless rushing around, absurd obligations and the temporary insanity that settles in for a few weeks each year. Its all-new “North by North Pole” show promises menorahs, reindeer-centric comedy and more in an all-ages setting. The show runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 27-Dec. 19 with “encore” performances Dec. 21-23. 1527 Champa St. Tickets: $20-$22. .
