The Winnipeg Jets won 3-1 at Minnesota on Friday afternoon, outshooting the Wild 29-15. They are concluding a three-game trip that began Wednesday with a 5-3 loss at Washington. The Jets are 6-7-1 on the road and 3-6 against Central Division opponents. The Avs are 2-6-1 at home and 2-1 against the Central. Roster updates: Avs coach Patrick Roy said forwards John Mitchell (oblique) and Alex Tanguay (knee) will play on the upcoming four-game trip that begins Monday in New York against the Islanders. Both participated in the morning skate. … Roy said F Jesse Winchester has had no contact with the team and “will call” if his condition improves. Winchester has yet to play with the Avs since suffering a concussion at Calgary in a preseason game before last season. … Defenseman Brad Stuart (back) is out indefinitely.
