Pine Creek stud JoJo Domann was named the 2015-16 Gatorade Colorado football player of the year.
The 6-foot-1, 212-pound senior caught 33 passes for 674 yards and nine touchdowns this past season, and led the Eagles (12-1) to the Class 4A state semifinals.
“JoJo Domann is fast, strong and athletic,” Dakota Ridge coach Ron Woitaleewicz said in a statement from Gatorade. “He made a play in our game where he jumped up over our defensive back and made a highlight-reel catch and then kept his balance and ran it in for a touchdown. Right then I thought to myself that this kid is special.”
Domann, the first from Pine Creek to win the award, has pledged to play at Nebraska.
