
1 Contractors fight over mistake. On Nov. 25, a man called Denver police after he was involved in a dispute with a fellow contractor while working on a house in the 3200 block of Kearney Street. The man told police that he and the suspect began arguing over a mistake on the home when the suspect grabbed him and shook him.
2 Argument leads to broken TV. A woman called police after she got in an argument with another woman in the living room of a house in the 3500 block of Glencoe Street. The argument took place in the living room and ended with a TV being tipped over, severely damaging the screen.
3 Subway robbed with box knife. On Nov. 27, police responded to a store robbery at Subway, 2069 S. Federal Blvd. They learned that the suspect used a box knife to rob the store and fled in a vehicle. Police located the vehicle and arrested the suspect, who was later identified by a witness. The woman who drove the getaway car was also arrested.
4 Man robbed at gunpoint. A man called Denver police Nov. 29 after he was robbed at gunpoint by two men in the 1000 block of South Parker Road. The victim said he was approached and one of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded his money. The suspects then fled the area.
5 Woman “karate chopped” in jail. On Dec. 1, police responded to an assault in the county jail, 10500 East Smith Road, where a woman was hit in the throat. The victim said she walked past the suspect’s bunk, and the path she took provoked the suspect to strike her in the throat with a “karate chop.”
