Logan County authorities are investigating after a 29-year-old woman’s body was found in the South Platte River north of Sterling on Sunday.

Kshena C. Andersen’s remains were discovered near Logan County Road 34, according to the county sheriff’s office.

Investigators declined to release further details in the case.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Lt. Joe McBride said Andersen had been living in Sterling, but investigators are looking into her history.

“Somebody had called it in,” McBride said. “Right now, I would just call it a suspicious death.”

Anyone with information on Andersen or her death is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 970-522-2378 or 970-522-3512.
