Former NFL running back LaDainian Tomlinson is with Team Manning.

On “NFL Game Day” on Sunday after the Broncos’ loss to the Raiders, Tomlinson said he thinks the Broncos should start Peyton Manning once the quarterback is healthy enough to return.

“I’ve said it from the jump that you’ve got to go back with Peyton whenever he’s healthy for the simple fact that he has the experience you want,” Tomlinson said. “You saw it today in the red zone, Brock Osweiler couldn’t put it in the end zone. A couple of missed throws in the red zone. That type of stuff comes back to beat you and it hurts you.

“So absolutely without question, if Peyton Manning is healthy, you put him back in the game.”

Manning has been recovering from partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot. In his absence, Osweiler has started the last four game, leading the Broncos to a 3-1 record during that span.
