
1 Wreck the walls with bow and arrow. A couple was putting up Christmas lights on the side of their home in the 7700 block of East Homestead Road, Douglas County, on Dec. 4 when they found a steel arrow embedded 8 inches into their roof, about 3 inches away from an upstairs window. Neighbors in a building across the street said they had no idea who shot it.
2 Driver upset by development. An officer found a woman pulled over on the side of Titan Road in Douglas County crying in her car Dec. 8. She admitted she had recently been asked to leave the nearby Sterling Ranch development property by another officer. She said she would drive on but needed 15 minutes because she “needed to be with land while it’s being destroyed.”
3 Feast busted. A woman reported she saw a man steal trays of meat from a Safeway on Dec. 6 and got his license plate number. Police went to his home in the 9800 block of Marmot Ridge Circle, Douglas County. It smelled of seafood. He was cited for stealing $47.97 in crab and lobster.
4 Parking lots targeted. Employees of a business at 9780 Pyramid Court, Douglas County, on Dec. 8 spotted a man in the parking garage trying to open car doors before someone scared him away. He matched the description of a man who was seen trying car doors in the building’s front lot the week before.
5 Leave the tools. A man’s truck was stolen from his driveway in the 4700 block of Cheyenne Drive, Douglas County, on Dec. 5. The vehicle was valued at $2,800 and the tools inside were worth $5,000.
