1 Car punched during altercation. On Nov. 29, a man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies to report that another man had punched his car during an argument at Public Storage, 10270 W. Hampden Ave., in the Littleton area. The man said the suspect was blocking his way and asked him to move. After an argument, the man tried to drive away, but punched the victim’s car, causing damage. The suspect was contacted and claimed the victim had started the argument, but agreed to pay for the damage.

2 Prowler tries to get into house. A man called deputies on Dec. 1 after he and his wife heard a loud bang and saw a man at their front door in the 8000 block of West Plymouth Place, Columbine (Littleton). The man said when he saw the man, he was trying to open their front door, but then ran away. He suspected the man was a prowler who had been seen in the neighborhood the previous month.

3 Man tries to break into car. On Dec. 2, a woman called deputies to report that she saw a man trying to break into her car in the 9000 block of West Chatfield Avenue in the Littleton area. She said she saw the man next to her car holding what she thought was a crowbar, but there was no physical evidence that the man had tried to gain entry.

4 Suspicious call reported. A man called deputies on Dec. 2 after he received a suspicious call in the 5000 block of West Fair Drive, Columbine (Littleton). The man said he received two calls from the same number and, the second time, the person on the other end of the line threatened to shoot him and claimed to be a cop.
