COLORADO SPRINGS — A 45-year-old man convicted of sexually assaulting a woman while taping the act on a hidden camera he placed in her bedroom was sentenced Wednesday to at least six years in prison, according to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Fidel Eugene Garcia was found guilty in August of sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact, stalking causing emotional distress and invasion of privacy for sexual gratification, court records show.
A jury also acquitted Garcia of one of two sexual assault charges.
Garcia is already serving a seven-year prison sentence in a fatal hit-and-run crash in June 2013.
He was found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
