A suspect was in critical condition Thursday night after an officer-involved shooting in northeast Denver.
Raquel Lopez, Denver police spokeswoman, said that an Auto Theft Task Force from outside of Denver was following a stolen car, which entered the city. Officers executed a pit manuever and stopped the vehicle in the 4500 block of Ivy Street, a light industrial area, about 8:20 p.m.
Shots were fired. A suspect was wounded and taken to a local hospital, she said.
The shooting involved an officer from an “outside agency” — someone who is not with the Denver Police Department.
Denver police are investigating the incident.
