Rendering of new 156,000-square foot data center that Denver-based ViaWest is building in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area.
Noted: ViaWest on Thursday has begun on its ninth Texas-area data center — and the company’s 30th. The new 156,000-square-foot center, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016.
The Denver hosting and IT services company in a said Texas offered “attractive tax rates, a competitive regulatory environment and high job growth.”
The company also has operations in Austin and Dallas for a total of 260,000 square feet in Texas.
ViaWest’s , a 50,850-square-foot data center in Richardson, will also get a new cloud node to offer cloud services for local customers. This will be ViaWest’s ninth cloud node for the company.
In November, ViaWest as its Senior Vice President of Sales. Nance is based in Dallas.
The company employs 521 people, including 260 in Colorado.
