If there’s one consistent thing about this hap-happiest time of the year, it’s traditions. We all have them. And here at Steal This Track, every year for at the least the last four we post a Christmas track from Denver slop pop band . This year, the band delivers “Reckless Road,” available for download below.
As with past years, this is an uncompromising Kissing Party song, with hints of pop adding a sheen to a punk rock ethos. There are bells to bring a bit of cheer, but for the most part Kissing Party doesn’t just turn a 180 from its brooding sounds just because its the holidays. For some people, this is the crap-crappiest time of the year, and the annual Kissing Party releases capture just that.
Lead kissing party-goer Gregg Dolan says the band may have one holiday track left in it before they finally compile all the tracks through the years into one disc, “Winter in the Pub,” which would be physically released next year. Much like all Kissing Party albums, it’s sure to be a delight worth waiting years for.
Below, download this year’s track, “Reckless Road,” then check out last year’s track, “.” Also, the band has released a video for “Reckless Road,” which can be viewed on .
