Getting your player ready...

Thursday. The great thing about seeing the free, twice-nightly fireworks show in downtown Denver on New Year’s Eve is that there are dozens of restaurants, shops, bars and venues to explore before and afterward. That means you can easily fit in a meal on or off the 16th Street Mall, a show or a trip to the souvenir store in your plans and not miss Colorado’s quintessential urban holiday celebration. Presented by the Downtown Denver Partnership, the fireworks display (visible pretty much anywhere downtown, but best along the mall) runs at 9 p.m. and midnight Dec. 31. Visit for additional info about hotels, restaurant deals and entertainment.
