Five people were arrested Monday night after Denver police chased a stolen car, which matched the description of a vehicle used earlier in a robbery.

The vehicle was spotted near West 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, according to a 10:49 p.m. Twitter post by the Denver Police Department.

Officers pursued the stolen vehicle to the 1600 block of Vance Street in Lakewood where five suspects were taken into custody. Two of the suspects were arrested after attempting to flee the area on foot.

The stolen vehicle matched the description of a car used in an aggravated robbery Monday afternoon in the 700 block of West 8th Avenue, police said on Twitter.
