Fort Collins police are searching for a man who punched a woman in the face and stole her purse during a Monday morning home invasion.

Investigators say the heist happened about 8 a.m. when the woman was coming inside from her backyard and noticed a man entering her home.

Police said that’s when the man attacked the woman and stole “a significant amount of cash.”

The man is described as 5-feet 9-inches tall, 170 pounds and as being in his late 20s. He was brown-skinned and had no facial hear, police say, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, red beanie, black gloves and dark pants.
