1 Road rage incident ends in arrest. A man followed a car driven by a woman down Highlands Ranch Parkway on Dec. 15 after he believed she cut him off. During the pursuit, the woman’s son threw a cup at him. Both drivers pulled over at Burger King, 3520 Town Center Drive, where the son held a knife up and made a throat-cutting motion. Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the son for outstanding warrants.

2 Wallet stolen before first use. A woman ordered a $70 pocketbook online that was delivered to her home in the 9200 block of Lark Sparrow Drive, Highlands Ranch, just after noon on Dec. 14, FedEx said. When her husband got home at about 4:30 p.m., the package was gone.

3 Star vandal. The owner of an orthodontics practice in the 9400 block of South University Boulevard, Highlands Ranch, found a large black star Dec. 14 spray-painted on a front window.

4 Expensive shop trip. A woman’s car was broken into after being left locked in the parking lot of Midas Parker, 6240 E. Pine Lane, Douglas County, between Dec. 14 and Dec. 16. Her stereo, valued at $400, and all of her personal papers were stolen.

5 Remodel ruckus. A woman living in the 6800 block of Perry Park Boulevard, Perry Park, called deputies Dec. 11 to say she felt threatened by the contractor remodeling her bathroom. She said he missed work three times in two weeks and she tried to hire another person to finish the work. He called her, angry about her hiring efforts and said he needed to be paid the $2,170 she still owed her. Deputies deemed it a civil issue. (Not on map.)
