1 Attempted abduction. On Dec. 14, a female reported that a man tried to get her into his vehicle in the area of Golden High School, 701 24th St., Golden. The report said the man was white, in his 20s, had short brown hair and acne scars, and had a tattoo of a snake on his right arm. He drove a grey Subaru with a lot of stickers on it and asked the victim multiple times to take a ride with him before trying to grab her. She kicked him in the shin and he drove away. Local law enforcement agencies were notified.

2 Grinch. The manager of apartments in the 2000 block of Jackson St., Golden, reported Dec. 11 that approximately $50 worth of toys was stolen from a donation box in the lobby.

3 Driver followed. A driver went to Golden Police Department, 911 10th St., to report that she was being followed. She had been driving westbound on Colorado 58 when another vehicle began tailgating her. It continued after both exited the highway and she tried to pull over to let it pass. She then drove to the police station, where the other driver flashed a light at her before driving away.

4 Harassment from Seattle. An Evergreen resident reported to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 17 that a man called him claiming the resident’s computer had a virus he could fix. When the resident did not believe him and refused to pay him to fix it, the man threatened to come to his house to slap him. The resident asked for the man’s supervisor, but the man refused and said he was north of Seattle. Police identified the man’s number as one linked to similar complaints.
