Firefighters are battling a large house fire that erupted at an Evergreen home early Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 7:30 a.m. on the 28900 block of Golf Way, said Dan Hatlestad, a spokesman for Evergreen Fire Rescue.
No injuries have been reported.
Hatlestad said the extreme cold adds to the risk of fighting the fire because roads become icy as water used to extinguish the blaze freezes.
About 20 firefighters were fighting the fire, he said.
It’s unclear at this stage what caused the fire, Hatlestad said.
