El Paso County authorities said Friday they are searching for a 23-year-old man who may have armed himself with several firearms before going missing late New Year’s Eve.
Elijah Joe Sharp was last seen by his parents around 9:30 p.m. in Manitou Springs near Barr Trail, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
“We are very concerned for his safety as we have located his vehicle and it appears he may have several firearms in his possession,” the news release says.
Sharp is 5-feet-11 and weighs about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes.
