Avalanche forward Matt Duchene was selected to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, the league announced Wednesday.

For the 24-year-old, it is his second all-star nod and first since 2011.

“I’m obviously excited,” he said in a news release. “It’s a big honor and I’m very happy to represent my teammates and my organization.”

In 40 games, Duchene leads Colorado in goals (18). He also has 15 assists and is tied with Nathan MacKinnon for most points (33) on the team.

The game will take place at 3 p.m. Jan. 31 in Nashville.
